Now what?

Applying for the License

• Read the Attorney General’s Law Summary 
• Fill out the application and attach one of the photos I gave you
• Determine which Sheriff’s Office you want to apply at.
  • Some do walk-ins; most do by appt only. Here are some links to some of the local ones:

  • Be sure to take all the correct documents with you when you go to apply. (Can vary county to county so be sure to carefully read the website of the county where you are going!)

Reciprocity

Your concealed carry license is not honored in all 50 states. The term for which states honor other states licenses is “reciprocity”.

The Ohio Attorney General maintains a clickable map that shows which states Ohio has reciprocity with.

Your license might be honored in a certain state but it is important that you know the laws in that state. That’s where this book comes in handy! We sell it for $15. It is written by an attorney and lays out the carry laws for each state.
